Ogilvie Dogs Training Centre – Terms & Conditions

General Hire Terms

  1. By making a payment, the payee acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
  2. Please only park in the centre car park. Do not park outside the nearby houses.
  3. Vehicles must not exceed 5mph when driving on the premises.
  4. Dogs must be kept on a lead in the car park at all times.
  5. Dogs must be toileted on the field only. Do not walk dogs up the drive.
  6. Please clean up after your dog and dispose of waste in the designated bin near the venue.
  7. Ensure your dog has been toileted before entering the indoor training centre. A £10 fine will apply for any indoor toileting incidents.
  8. If your dog toilets indoors, immediately pick up and/or soak the area. Use the astroturf cleaner as per the instructions on the notice board and report the incident to: bookings@ogilviedogs.com.
  9. Keep dogs on a lead in the waiting area. No dogs are to be free roaming or unsupervised in the astroturf area.

Equipment Use & Venue Maintenance

  1. Agility equipment is only to be used by dogs and handlers that have agility foundations and are competent with each piece of equipment.
  2. Only clean indoor shoes are permitted on the astroturf.
  3. The seesaw, A-frame, and dog walk (indoor and outdoor) must not be moved under any circumstances.
  4. If fencing is required for your booking, it is your responsibility to carry it from the equipment corner, set it up, and return it before your session ends.
    • 2 fence panels are to remain by the shutters, 2 on the end fire exit and 1 on the, if you move these during your hire please ensure they go back before the end of your session
  5. Any extra equipment used during your hire must be returned neatly to the equipment corner.
  6. Any excessive amounts of rubbish must be taken away by the hirer.
  7. Lights and music must be turned off at the end of your hire.
  8. All hirers are reminded to treat the venue with respect and help maintain a clean and welcoming space.
  9. Report any issues during your hire promptly so we can address them accordingly.

Outdoor Ring Specific Terms

  1. The outdoor ring is for training purposes only and is to be used by individuals who have paid for hire. Unauthorized use is not permitted.
  2. Vehicles are not allowed inside the ring under any circumstances. Park only in designated areas.
  3. The field must be locked after your hire session ends. You are responsible for ensuring it is secured before leaving.
  4. If any jumps are moved during your hire, they must be returned to their original positions. No contacts to be moved

Damage & Liability

  1. The payee bears full responsibility for any damage to the interior or exterior of the centre during their booked period.
  2. The payee will be held accountable for all costs associated with necessary repairs from incidents occurring during their rental period.
  3. The school and outdoor ring will be checked before and after hire. If any damage is found after your booking, you will be charged accordingly.
  4. No food or drinks are allowed on the astroturf. Dogs’ water bowls must be used only in the waiting area.
  5. Children must always be supervised. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children.
  6. The use of aversive training tools (e.g., prong collars, e-collars) is strictly prohibited on the property.
  7. Fire exits are located at the front double doors, the middle of the right-hand wall, and the back wall.
  8. By completing your booking and attending the site, you accept these terms and conditions and acknowledge that:
  • Ogilvie Dogs Ltd is not liable for any accidents or injuries sustained on-site by handlers or dogs.
  • Ogilvie Dogs Ltd is not liable for any damage to vehicles or personal property while on-site.

Payments & Cancellations

  1. Hourly bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  2. Full-day hires may be paid in full or with a £50 deposit. Half-day hires may be paid in full or with a £25 deposit, with remaining balances due 28 days before the event.
  3. Payments are non-refundable, but dates are transferable with one month’s notice. Transfers are allowed once per booking. Additional changes will incur a £5 administration fee.
  4. Bespoke bookings can be arranged on custom terms. Please contact us for details.

Workshop Terms & Conditions

  1. Payments are due at the time of booking via the website or on the same day if arranged through email.
  2. Bookings not paid within the required timeframe will be cancelled and deposits forfeited.
  3. Workshop spaces are non-refundable. You may sell your space to a handler of suitable experience (e.g., Grade 6 for a Grade 5-7 workshop).
  4. If you sell your space, you are responsible for obtaining payment from the replacement handler.
  5. Deposits for some events may be required and are non-refundable.
  6. Refunds or credits will be issued only if the event is cancelled.
  1. We reserve the right to deduct venue or trainer costs if cancellation occurs due to adverse weather.
  2. Workshops will be held indoors unless otherwise stated. During the summer months, if indoor temperatures become too hot, we may decide to move the workshop outdoors to ensure the welfare of both dogs and handlers.
  3. By completing your workshop booking and attending, you accept all above workshop terms and conditions.
